About Me
I was born and raised in New Jersey, but have lived on Cape Cod since 2003 and can’t imagine living anywhere else. My husband, James and I were high school sweethearts and have been “dating” since I was fourteen. We were married in 2001 at the Captain Linnell House in Orleans, MA and have owned two inns in Chatham. After sixteen years of being an innkeeper and coordinating countless weddings, I decided to focus my energy on officiating weddings and writing personal vows which also affords me the freedom to spend time with our five children who keep us very busy!

Background
We all have our talents – while I cannot find my way out of a paper bag or cook a grilled cheese without burning it, I can write. I have been in the wedding business since 2003, and was appointed as a Justice of the Peace in Massachusetts in 2014. Since then, I have officiated over 500 wedding ceremonies.

One of my favorite aspects of being a Justice of the Peace is writing wedding ceremonies customized for each couple. I wanted to expand my scope of writing, so I created Write Weddings to help couples across the country write personal vows and wedding ceremonies, even if I’m not the one officiating for them. I noticed that couples were intrigued by writing their own vows, but were apprehensive because the task of weaving their deepest feelings into a concise composition resembling wedding vows was daunting. That’s where I come in. Read more about my process here.
